Client Description:
This Aeronautical University, the world's largest, fully accredited university specializes in aviation and aerospace, and offers more than 30 degree programs in its colleges of Arts and Sciences, Aviation, Business, and Engineering. The university educates more than 34,000 students annually in undergraduate and graduate programs at residential campuses. Through the Worldwide Campus at more than 130 centers in the United States, Europe, Canada, and the Middle East, and through online learning.
Mycroft Enterprise I/T Solutions Approach:
- Implemented Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite to improve service and accelerate business processes, while enforcing tighter, automated access and management controls around sensitive data
- Reduced the account provisioning time from 24-26 hours to just 30-45 minutes
- Created an Oracle-based identity system with Oracle Internet Directory, providing self-service for students, employees, faculty, and contractors – including military partners
Results:
- Eliminated the need for users to log-in multiple times, delivering easy-to-access, customized interfaces for diverse users
- Decreased the number of helpdesk calls – subsequently support costs
- No students / faculty or staff were disrupted during implementation
